asset building visualMission

Our mission is to empower low income Calgarians in managing their money and growing their assets. Explore our goal statements.

Convene a network of community organizations, financial institutions and private sector organizations, government and engaged citizens committed to building the financial literacy and assets of all Calgarians, particularly those with lower incomes, through collaborative action and systems change.

Goals

We hope to reach the following goals through our collective impact:

  • Low income community members develop savings patterns and increase their savings.
  • Calgarians are supported in building their capacity to save money and grow their assets.
  • Calgarians are supported in increasing their financial, social, physical, and human assets through financial literacy education and asset building programming.
  • Contribute to the Financial Futures Collaborative by joining any of our Five Action.

Teams, each guided by one of the following priorities:

  • Increase access to financial literacy and asset-building opportunities through incentive-based interventions.
  • Build capacity of front-line staff to effectively deliver financial literacy services.
  • Generate awareness and engagement in financial literacy as an essential skill.
  • Increase access to mainstream financial services and products.
  • Develop a continuum of complementary financial literacy and asset-building supports and services.

Work with us to build brighter financial futures for all Calgarians.
